The Artemis Program will send astronauts to the lunar surface for the first time in over 50 years. Why did it take us this long to get "Back To The Moon"?
Basically, the Apollo Program was a massive (and expensive) undertaking that was all about "getting there first." To go to the Moon in a way that ensures we can keep going back, several steps had to be taken first.
